Autobody & Glass Repairs Ltd is a family-run panel and paint workshop at 8 Seven Mile Drive, Belfast, Christchurch. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in the course of our work, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect
When you request a quote or contact us through this site, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, your vehicle details (including number plate if you provide it), a description of the work you need, and any photos or documents you attach.
If your repair is an insurance claim, we also handle the information needed to manage that claim: your claim number, your insurer, and correspondence about the job.
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, book and carry out repairs, deal with your insurer where you ask us to, keep you updated on the progress of your job, and invoice for completed work.
We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not use it for marketing lists. We only share it where the job requires it: with your insurance company on an insurance repair, or with parts and glass suppliers when ordering for your vehicle.
Storage and security
Enquiries submitted through this website are stored securely on our website system and emailed to our office. Job records, quotes and invoices are kept in our workshop management records for as long as we need them for warranty, accounting and legal purposes.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Only the small team that runs the workshop has access to it.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not run advertising trackers. We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used (for example, which pages are visited). Reviews shown on this site are sourced from our public Google Business Profile.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Just get in touch and we will sort it.
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information that we cannot resolve, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
